What’s in a share?

A share provides between 5 and 18 pounds of produce each week from mid-May until the end of October. We grow over 350 varieties of vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers. We’ll have lots of the basics, like lettuce, broccoli, tomatoes, and carrots, as well as specialty greens, heirloom melons and tomatoes, and fresh culinary herbs. A share also includes

  • a variety of Pick Your Own (PYO) flowers, herbs, vegetables and berries
  • the ability to get back $100.00 of your share payment by working 15 hours on the farm
  • opportunities for your family to participate in member work days, educational programs, and season festivals.
  • weekly farmer report with recipes, crop storage tips, and workday projects
  • Monthly newsletter in the off-season (November through April)
  • Access to HOG fields for picnics and nature walks

A share in our harvest is seasonal, so the size and composition of the boxes change as the season progresses. Eating seasonally lets you feel the true joy of that first bite of arugula in May, or the burst of bright flavor from the first cherry tomato.

Sample Week in June:

  • 1 pound of spinach
  • 1 pound of mixed greens
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 head Napa Cabbage
  • 1 pound of peas (pick your own)

Sample week in September:

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 pound of mixed greens
  • 5 pound of tomatoes
  • 2 eggplant
  • 1 pound of zucchini
  • 3 pounds of potatoes
  • 1 pound of carrots
  • 1 pound of onions
  • 3 stalks of edamame
  • 1 bunch of beets

Our share provides enough produce for a family of 4, or 2 vegetable-loving adults. You are welcome to split a share with another family, or buy 2 shares if one is not enough!
